What we have discovered and are happy to share
It was this pursuit of excellence that led us to adopt the OKR framework for implementing strategies. It stands for Objectives and Key Results and is easy to define.
- An objective is a simple sentence that explains what you’re trying to achieve as a business.
- A Key Result is a quantifiable measure that will show how successful you have been.
The concept is simple. The execution is hard because ensuring all your team are clear about what is important to the company can be hard. As the late Peter Drucker pointed out:
“Culture eats strategy for breakfast.”
We have learned many lessons over the past 2 years since we started using OKR’s – good and bad. We are learning all the time and are always striving to improve our delivery and share what we have discovered.
- Auxin is now driven by OKR’s. We use the OKR framework across a wide range of projects for clients based in the North East and throughout the UK.
- We offer both OKR training courses and OKR consultancy. It all depends on what you need and how comfortable you feel working with OKR’s.
A quick word of warning. OKR’s don’t make things easy but they do make sure things get done.
